Maritime & Logistics Youth Expo 2019

April 26 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Work has continued in earnest through the fall and late winter to prepare for the upcoming Maritime & Logistics Youth Expo 2019.  This year’s Expo will be held on Friday, April 26th, 0900-1300, at the San Jacinto College Maritime Campus, 3700 Old State Hwy 146, La Porte, TX 77571.

For those of you that have participated in past Youth Expos, you’ll remember the great success the Expo has had with showcasing both the “wet” and “dry” side of the maritime & logistics industries to local students.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Maritime and Logistics Youth Expo, the event’s purpose is to educate local youth on the many benefits of employment in the maritime and logistics industry.  We are expecting an inquisitive and enthusiastic crowd again this year (as many as 500 high school and middle school student attendees) as the local maritime education programs continue to grow.  The success of last year’s (and this year’s) Expo depends on committed industry stakeholders, like you, eager to showcase the benefits and importance of our local maritime and logistics community.

Exhibitor participation is free, and I’m looking for interested companies and organizations to fill spaces for static and interactive displays on the small boat dock, in the water, and around the San Jacinto Maritime facility.  This is a great opportunity to provide awareness to students from the local schools on the scope and breadth of our industry.  As in years past, I’m looking forward to seeing your trucks, forklifts, cranes, response trailers, small boats, diving equipment, and any other equipment that you want to showcase to the students interested in our industry.

If you would like to participate at the Expo as an exhibitor, please confirm your attendance by email to me at jplunkett@houston-pilots.com.  If you are interested in the Expo but not ready to commit, or just need more information, please drop me an email or give me a call.  More information to follow on this event.

On behalf of the Maritime & Logistics Youth Expo Planning Committee, thanks for your support in attracting the next generation of maritime logistics leaders.

Best regards,
